IHG Hotels & Resorts, the world’s leading hospitality company, and HOC Hospitality Investments have signed a management agreement for a new Vignette hotel in Zimbabwe, marking the brand’s 10th Vignette foray into the Middle East and Africa region and coinciding with its first anniversary.
The Vignette Collection is a collection of one-of-a-kind, exclusive hotels designed for guests seeking a rich and varied independent accommodation experience. House of Chinhara – Vignette Collection will open in Victoria Falls in January 2026, offering an urban resort hotel option to over 250,000 visitors a year. The stunning waterfall is one of the largest in the world, and its Rainforest National Park and Elephant Trail attract leisure travelers seeking tranquility and adventure. However, with the town’s recent designation as a Financial Services Special Economic Zone and the creation of the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, business and MICE demand in the area is also expected to increase significantly.
Centrally located just 20km from the airport, House of Chinhara consists of 99 keys, including two food and beverage outlets and three bars/cafes. Guests also have access to its health club and 800 square meters of spa/retail space. In addition, to meet corporate needs, the hotel will include four meeting rooms with a total area of 620 square meters, the largest of which has a theatre-style layout and can accommodate up to 360 people.
The hotel will complement Six Senses Victoria Falls, developed by HOC Hospitality Investments Ltd., as the brand’s first riverside game lodge resort within the buffer zone of Victoria Falls National Park, a UNESCO protected area. The property will feature 54 guest rooms and three food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, specialty restaurant and sunset bar, as well as a spa, mixed-use retail and concept stores.
