We’re very serious about this year’s event…
If we were to rank our favorite festivals of the year, Oktoberfest would come out on top. Such is the incredible Bavarian food, the socially acceptable wearing of leather pants and wine skirts, the gigantic hops of hops, being able to use words like schnitzel und strudel in context, and the oompah music and improv. We think it’s fair to say it’s still a long way from being a sausage.
With all that in mind, here are some of our favorite Abu Dhabi Oktoberfest celebrations.
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club
Abu Dhabi City Golf Club will host the capital’s flagship incarnation, Germany’s most famous harvest festival, the Hop Festival. It all takes place from October 27th to November 6th at “The Green,” an event space set amidst the verdant fairways of the city golf course. The 11-night event will feature “Abu Dhabi’s largest beer garden”, plenty of specialty “European meats” to “Munich” and rich oompah music.You can book a free pass for the à la carte experience, or have the most OK of Saturday Bavarian-themed Saturday brunch (1pm-4pm) with set menus from AED 275 (AED 375).

Bob Castle
Breezy beachfront hotel Bab Al Qasr is partnering with Future Land and is hosting one of the biggest open-air events Oktoberfest Celebration. Appaloosa, Marriott’s trusted sports bar at the Al Forsan, is coming to Bayern Munich and topped the hotel’s Bundesliga Oktoberfest celebrations, and it’s fair to say it’s the only venue in the game, but trophies are trophies.You can dig all week fork (Fork) Step into a delicious German food classic, raise a mug of Weissbier, and pay homage to the holiday spirit. There will be a special Bavarian BBQ on weekends with unlimited meat in the open space for just AED 99.

We’re not sure how the American writer of the same name of this popular Abu Dhabi watering hole feels about Oktoberfest, but we can’t help but think that if he sees the spread offered here, he can’t help but be me-prostaglandin. Decorated with Bavarian costumes, in addition to the many wonderful daily deals offered by Hemingway’s, the open-air beer garden invites you to experience a special limited-edition German-inspired à la carte menu featuring sauerkraut, German sausages, grilled chicken, pretzel bread, Mashed potatoes and more.

What’s better than an Oktoberfest beer garden? Entire Oktoberfest Village headed to Le Méridien Abu Dhabi
Few of Abu Dhabi’s outdoor venues are as traditional and legendary as The Village, Le Meridien, a massive space that’s getting a massive Munich market-style makeover for Oktoberfest. Inside, you’ll find a bustling network of stalls serving German cuisine, a wide variety of beers and hops, and an exciting game (fingers crossed “pin the cartilage on schnitzel”) to lure you.

The Westin Abu Dhabi
Golf courses and Oktoberfest seem to be the one thing in Abu Dhabi this year, we get it, the green hills of Bavaria, the edelweiss vibe.The Westin’s own version is taking place at the Retreat bar, which features svery good The outdoor patio overlooks the course’s winding greens. The limited-time menu includes Pretzel Baskets, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Chili Cheese Kleiner, Grilled Currywurst, Grilled Chicken, Dumplings, Wiener Schnitzel, Traditional Licensing, and Apple Pie.
