Ski Dubai, the third largest indoor ski resort in the world, has unveiled its 2022/2023 team of sponsored athletes at a special event in Dubai, which has identified the region’s most talented skiers and snowboarders.
This year’s diverse team consists of 34 high-level male and female athletes from seven different countries, including 18 Emiratis aged between 10 and 20.
As part of its commitment to developing young talent, Ski Dubai will offer skiers and snowboarders a range of benefits, including unlimited ski slopes and over 90 hours of instruction from professional coaches who have trained numerous elite athletes .
Sponsored athletes are selected through a rigorous selection process that takes into account many factors, including technical skill performance, fitness level, and coaching reports and recommendations.

Over the past decade, Ski Dubai has fostered a winter sports culture in the MENA region, introducing skiing and snow sports to over 80,000 people each year. In 2017, it established the Sponsored Athlete program to solidify its commitment to developing young talent and provide a platform for athletes to learn, develop and hone their skills.
This year, the UAE was approved as a full member of the International Ski Federation (FIS) at the International Ski Congress following a five-year campaign launched by Ski Dubai in partnership with the UAE Winter Sports Federation, which will pave the way for skiing in the UAE Athletes compete in international competitions for the first time and host FIS-sanctioned international snow sports competitions for the UAE. – arab trade news agency
