HBO and HBO Max Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys told Condor The series will return “sometime in ’24.”
“We’ve just started making plans, and like last time, there’s a lot of unknowns. It’s not shy or stealthy, but you don’t want to say it’s going to be ready by this date and then you have to move it.”

The ending is HBO largest audience since game of Thrones finale, so of course they are keen to take the time to get justice for next season.
HBO wasn’t sure the series would reach the heights of its predecessor, so the clear success of Season 1 came as a shock to those in charge. “Am I anxious? I’ve been anxious since the development process,” notes Bloys.
Host Ryan Condal Fans were also given something to look forward to, noting that the sometimes frustrating time jump will end in season 2.
“I would say, as a reward to the great audience who have been following us through the jumps and recasts, they are complete,” he said. “We start here to tell the story in real time. “
With the frequent time jumps in Season 1 requiring recasts, some fans are clearly frustrated with losing their favorite actor from the series.
While a premiere date has yet to be set, Bloys did confirm that the series is unlikely to return in 2023.
