Putin to meet Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders to ease border tensions

October 28 (UPI) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will host a summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Russia on Monday to ease tensions between the two former Soviet republics.

“As for the peaceful settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, we have been making every effort to achieve full normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan,” Putin said, according to the TASS news agency.

Putin said Russia wants to see the Caucasus as a region of calm and stable development.
