UAE flights: Residents of Dubai who had expired visas released after being extended-News

[ad_1]

The expired residence visa of foreigners can be automatically renewed until December 9.

Expats whose residence visas in Dubai have expired breathed a sigh of relief after getting the automatic visa extension.

On Wednesday, an Amer center call employee in Dubai told Khaliji Times Those who stay abroad due to expired visas can automatically renew their expired residence visas until December 9 in addition to the one-month grace period.

“However, before traveling to the UAE, they need to apply for pre-travel GDRFA approval and comply with all other RT-PCR testing protocols established by the government,” the agent explained.

The travel agency also confirmed that their clients have been granted automatic visa extensions, but stated that they are only granted to Dubai residency visa holders. Residents who have stayed outside the UAE for more than six months can also return. The status of residents in other emirates is unclear.

PR (hidden name upon request) holds a spouse visa and traveled with her mother to Kochi in the southern Indian state of Kerala on April 15 and booked a return flight ticket on May 14.

However, after the suspension of passenger flights from India to the UAE from April 24, she was trapped in India. To make matters worse, her visa expired in July, and she was not vaccinated.

As the UAE lifted the travel ban on August 5, she filed an application on the GDRFA website and filled out the necessary details on Wednesday. After 7 hours, she was approved, saying that she could return before September 9. “I’m very relieved that I can finally go home with my husband,” the PR said.

“I am worried because my two-year visa expired on July 12. But now I can finally return to Dubai,” the PR added.

“I thought about flying to Armenia and then coming to Dubai. But I gave up the idea. In the end everything went well and I am very grateful to the UAE for allowing me to come back,” she said.

PR took her first dose of Covishield and will have the second injection on September 2. She revealed that she has booked a return flight to Dubai on September 4.

At the same time, another foreigner, TJ (hidden name upon request), is also thankful that she and her family of four can return to Dubai after the visas of her and her eldest daughter expire in June. The family went to Tilvinnant Buram, Kerala for a one-month holiday in March. “I am very happy that we can return to Dubai to continue our lives,” said TJ, who works for an insurance company.

“Thank God, by God’s grace, my job is very safe. During this time I can work at home. Both my residence visa and my daughter’s visa expire in June. I am very worried. We even thought about crossing Armenia. But it turned out to be very expensive. We spent about AED 28,000. Then we applied and got approval on the GDRFA website,” added TJ, who was vaccinated in the UAE.

The family plans to return to Dubai next week.
