ABU DHABI, 29th October, 2022 (WAM) — The 27th edition of the Jiu-Jitsu World Championships kicked off today at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City with the UAE National Team, sponsored by Mubadala Investments, in This opened the curtain. Abdulla Al Darmaki, who won silver in the +73kg category, kicked off the UAE’s medal battle on day one. “I am delighted to bring home the silver medal on the opening day of the World Championships. Saturday’s race also saw UAE’s Ammar Al Hammadi take gold in the under 50kg category, while Mansoor Al Blooshi took silver in the under 38kg category. Meanwhile, Manea Abdulrahman (+73 kg), Eysa Alblooshi (-38 kg), Obaid Alketbi (-46 kg), Mohamed Alsada (-55 kg) and Andeez Ahmed (-66 kg) took bronze medals for the UAE to watch Get up strong on Inauguration Day.
