take ice
You don’t need to “sit on the glass” to see Ghost Pirates players up close. The Enmarket Arena was designed so that fans in the ground floor lounge could watch the team walk from the locker room to the rink through windows in the hallway. In addition, youth sports teams will form a “High Five Tunnel” to welcome players during pre-game introductions.
Coolest Zambonis in ECHL
Nothing fascinates hockey fans more than the Zamboni, an ice resurfacing machine that traverses the rink from time to time. Ghost Pirates can boast two of the most technical Zambonis in all of hockey – they’re electric and the only ones in the ECHL. Fun fact: The Zamboni’s top speed is 9 mph, but it travels at half that speed to clean and condition the ice.
