Abu Dhabi: Increase the capacity of institutions and public services from August 20-News

The capacity of shopping malls, entertainment centers, cultural centers, museums and cinemas has increased to 80%.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has updated the capital’s public service capacity.

Since Friday, August 20, the committee has also updated the occupancy rate and operational capacity of certain events in the emirate.

The following are the new updates of institutions and services:

>> Only people who have been vaccinated can enter public places

>> The capacity of shopping malls, entertainment centers, cultural centers, museums and cinemas has increased to 80%

>> The capacity of restaurants and cafes has increased to 80%, and a table can accommodate up to 10 people, provided that a mask is worn when not eating

>> The operating capacity of fitness clubs, sports academies, gyms and spas will remain at 50%.

Residents and guests must insist on wearing masks and keep their physical distance

>> Corporate activities such as community and sports events, exhibitions and conferences, and entertainment activities such as theaters and concerts have increased to 60%

>> The capacity of the wedding banquet hall is increased to 60% and can accommodate up to 100 people

The green pass system will be used to enter the public places where these events are held. All participants must show a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of the event before they can enter

Encourage all community members to implement the green pass system in private events and family gatherings

>> Public transportation operation capacity increased to 75%

>> A taxi driver can carry up to three passengers in a five-person taxi, and a seven-person taxi can carry up to four passengers

The committee reiterated that the implementation of the approved green pass system in Abu Dhabi from August 20 will add another layer of protection and has approved an increase in the capacity of public places to allow only vaccinated people to enter.

Update the home quarantine regulations

The Abu Dhabi Crisis Department has also worked with the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center to revise the home isolation guidelines for contacts with positive Covid-19 cases.

>> From Sunday, August 15th, vaccinated people must be quarantined for 7 days and undergo PCR testing on the 6th day. The crisis committee stated that if the PCR test result is negative, they can remove the wristband and end the quarantine on the seventh day.

>> Those who have not been vaccinated must be quarantined for 10 days and undergo PCR testing on the 9th day. If the PCR test result is negative, they can remove the wristband and end the quarantine on the 10th day.

>> Those registered in the Home Quarantine Program can take a free walk-in PCR test at the SEHA Prime Evaluation Center in Port Zayed (Abu Dhabi City), Al Ain Convention Center and Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra and take it down The wristband is like all SEHA hospitals in Al Dhafra.
