One of the most exciting finals in football, the Egyptian Super Cup, took place last Friday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly and Zamalek.
This is the fifth time the Super Bowl has been played outside Egypt.
As it is no longer news, Al-Ahly dazzled a glamorous crowd as the winner – with goals from Brazilians Bruno Savio and Karim Fouad in a 2-0 victory over their main rivals at the splendid Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.
Although Al-Ahly was the deserving winner, the real star of the game was Ghanaian racing company E-volution International, who organised the opening, half-time and closing ceremonies.
Described by many as unbelievably spectacular, the more than 25,000 spectators at Haza bin Zayed Stadium were captivated by sheer brilliance, timely and cutting-edge performances. The opening ceremony was interspersed with flag displays amid a curated cultural performance, and concluded with a captivating performance and laser show by Egyptian musician Ahmed Saad.
But even before both teams returned to the second quarter, Ahmed Saad put on another thrilling performance – a spectacle that continued after the referee gave the final signal. Indeed, the stage crew prepared a heartwarming set for this memorable closing ceremony. The rise of the Holy Grail was accompanied by a burst of golden glitter confetti and fireworks.
Fred Darko, CEO of E-volution International, said the success of the event showed the world that there are very capable organisations in Africa that can execute events that meet standards anywhere in the world.
“This is a great opportunity for E-volution for us and we thank the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for believing in our ability to handle an event of this magnitude. We knew our capabilities as an organization, so when we won the bid , we look forward to it with anticipation and excitement. This should show the world that African companies are very capable of hosting world-class events.”
The E-volution International capo doesn’t take the credit alone, crediting the event’s success to the hard-working staff and all the partners who contributed to the event in every way possible.
“I would like to thank the entire staff for their hard work and tireless spirit from conceptualization to event planning and execution. I also thank all the partners who contributed in every way to the success of this event.”
E-volution International is a wholly owned Ghanaian company regarded by many in Africa and the Middle East as the agency of choice for leading global brands, providing them with amazing experiences and lasting memories by creating original content and events.
