Technology has investigated how our onboard entertainment products affect seafarers. This includes news and information, newly released movies, series and podcasts. The BazePort Seea infotainment system impacts crew welfare and the daily life of seafarers.

We asked crews from shipping lines such as Berge Bulk, Westfal-Larsen, Knutsen OAS Shipping, Flex LNG and Ardmore Shipping. In a 2-month period, we received nearly 700 responses.
84% Crew asked by Bazeport said their work environment has improved since the BazePort entertainment system was installed on board. These results support academic research showing that increased well-being is associated with improved workplaces. Additionally, 91% agree that entertainment systems are positively affecting their well-being.
The most common effects are: 1) relax (42%), 2) stay informed about current events (34%), or 3) spend more time with other crew members while having fun (19%).
