Ryan Reynolds is “grateful” for the longevity of his career.
The 46-year-old star has become one of Hollywood’s most lucrative actors over the past decade, and Ryan is glad he has survived in the film industry for so long.
Ryan joked: “I felt like I was getting old. Then I realized, yeah, I’ve been around. I’ve been doing this job for over 30 years. It takes a long time to do anything. And I’m lucky , I have been able to do it for 30 years.
“Thank you so much for being able to do this job for a long time and stay in the industry, which can be done with you very quickly. I am approaching this honor with the same gratitude.”
Ryan and his wife Blake Lively are expecting their fourth child. But Ryan isn’t sure if the process will be easier this time around.
The “Deadpool” star – which includes seven-year-old James, six-year-old Inez and three-year-old Betty and Blake – told E! News: “I mean, what we know will help us get through this faster. But I don’t know. Anything can happen.”
Ryan, meanwhile, who becomes co-owner of Welsh football team Wrexham AFC in 2021, has previously revealed he has been seeking advice from David Beckham.
The actor – who co-owns Wrexham with actor Rob McElhenney – shared: “He’s probably just the best guy on the planet – what’s not to like about him?
“He’s a great guy and he’s very generous with his time.”
Ryan has also become obsessed with football since buying Wrexham.
He said: “I hate to say it, but I’m so obsessed with the sport right now that I really hate it.
“Like I wish it didn’t occupy my every thought, so I live Saturday for Saturday’s game.”
