The City of Camden has announced plans to “Believe in the Magic of Christmas in Camden” for Christmas 2022.
It kicks off on Friday 4th November at Camden’s famous First Friday Market event, with the holiday edition themed “Icy Feelings”. Visit living window displays throughout the city center and enjoy amazing shopping, including specialty food trucks featuring delicious treats like crepes, turkey legs, and more. Downtown along the street brings lawn chairs for free Arkansas brass concerts. This renowned quintet consists of members from the Arkansas Symphony and the Southern Arkansas Symphony. Streets will be closed and tables and chairs set up for outdoor dining and entertaining. This concert is a free concert thanks to a grant from the Ouachita Valley Community Foundation and the Touring Art Awards.
On Friday night, November 11th, there will be a shopping night during the Moonlight Shopping Madness event, where each participating business will have customers enter a raffle to win a grand prize. The “Muppet A Christmas Carol” movie will also be screened in Downtown Park. Southern Properties Group will take a photo with Santa. XOXO Co. Open House will host Miss Arkansas Ebony Mitchell between 5pm and 9pm
On Saturday, November 12th, there will be a terrarium-making party at Native Dog Brewing (125 Madison Ave. SE) with hometown beers from 11am-2pm
Traditional Christmas Open House on Sunday 13th November, 1pm-4pm
Heading into Thanksgiving weekend, there will be a special Black Friday that starts at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and runs until midnight. On Friday, November 25th, special Black Friday shopping will continue at participating businesses in town.
Saturday, November 26 will be Small Business Saturday, a national special event and recognition for small businesses.
The Ouachita County Courthouse Lighting will take place on Friday, December 2nd at 5:30pm.
The courthouse’s new decor and traditional favorites will please everyone.
