Partners at Mubadala Health provide access to ongoing education to help patients understand their condition and take control of their health. Mubadala Health is also investing in research and training, including training the next generation of Emirati healthcare professionals, to help stop the spread of the disease.
As part of the awareness-raising initiative, Mubadala Towers, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Danat Al Emarat Women’s and Children’s Hospital, HealthPlus Diabetes and Endocrinology Centre and Moorfields Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi will be on World Diabetes Day Illuminate their facades with blue.
The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre was established in 2006 to meet the growing demand for diabetes care in the UAE. Since then, it has not only provided patients with a “full range of care” for diabetes and its associated complications, but has also held workshops for private and public organisations and schools in Abu Dhabi to further educate the public on diabetes management .
During 2022, the center also helped screen and educate more than 4,600 people in various age groups.
