The UAE strongly condemns the terrorist bombing in the heart of Istanbul’s Beyoglu district, Dozens of civilians were killed or injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) confirmed in a statement that the UAE strongly condemns these criminal acts and rejects all forms of violence that violate human values and principles.
The ministry expresses its sincere condolences to the Turkish government and friendly people and the families of the victims of this heinous crime and wishes a speedy recovery to all injured.
An explosion ripped through a busy pedestrian area on Sunday, killing six people and injuring 38 others, according to the local governor and witnesses.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the “despicable attack” on Sunday, adding: “There was a horrible smell in there. “
“Our people can rest assured that the perpetrators of the attack will be punished properly,” he said, adding that preliminary information suggested “a woman was involved”.
