Authorities have announced that travelers arriving in Abu Dhabi may soon be taking flying taxis to their homes and hotels.
This future project can be made possible under a memorandum of understanding signed between Abu Dhabi Airports and French engineering and operations company Groupe ADP.
The parties agreed to explore the potential of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), a new air transport concept that uses electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to transport people and cargo.
Abu Dhabi Airports and Groupe ADP will work together from the planning and development phase through to the operation of AAM’s ground infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. Feasibility studies and market assessments will be conducted to develop an industry roadmap.
