The Bay to Lake Pilots Club is turning 25 and they are also celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tree parade.
The club is part of the International Pilots Club, which celebrates over 100 years of service. They generously give back to their communities and raise funds for various other charities and organizations.
Jen Henninger is president; Elain Cuomo and Gidget Lefkowitz are co-chairs of the Tree Parade.
All 25 trees are lit and decorated themed. There will be 6 1/2 to 7 ft full trees, 6 ft pencil trees, 6 ft slender trees and 4 1/2 ft condo trees for sale.
Gidget Lefkowski said: “Our pilots will be selling Greek desserts and raffle tickets for a variety of fancy gift baskets, kids bikes and lotto board raffles every night.”
Longtime member and board member Jean Marie Patterson said: “Attendants will choose the ‘Best of Show’ when viewing these outstanding trees.”
During the last half hour of each night, the winner of the draw will be drawn so they can take home what they won.
This is an event sponsored by Chronicle.
“All the non-perishable food or new unpackaged toys that people donate to go into Tree View goes into Citrus United Basket, CUB,” Patterson said.
All proceeds from the evening will go to the Pilots Club’s many local charities in the community as well as the organizations and programs the club supports.
