With the UAE’s entry into the UK’s “Amber List”, people’s interest in vacationing in Dubai has soared.

According to data from the meta search engine and travel agency Skyscanner, compared with the previous week, searches for travel to Dubai from August 2 to 9 increased by 287%.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Air Lines, said: “Since the announcement in the UK, we have seen an eager desire to visit family, plan children’s return to school in the new semester, and postpone their business or holiday trips.”

He expressed the hope that the UAE will enter the UK’s green list as soon as possible. “In view of the small number of coronavirus cases in the UAE, Dubai International Airport has a wide range of tests and has adopted prudent health and safety measures during passengers’ journeys.”

All passengers travelling from the UK to Dubai must have a negative result certificate of the Covid-19 PCR test performed no more than 72 hours before departure.

The UAE Embassy in the United Kingdom tweeted a list of rules for those planning to visit the UAE:

>> Passengers must provide a negative result of PCR test 72 hours before departure.

>> They must register themselves in the Locator Form system.

>> Visitors must undergo a 10-day quarantine.

>> The PCR test must be performed on the second and eighth days of the quarantine period.

>> For travelers who received two doses of Covid vaccine from the UK NHS, European Medicines Agency (EMA) or US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), isolation is not mandatory. However, such persons must undergo PCR testing the next day.
