Palisades Tahoe Hosts Thanksgiving Dinner

This year on Thursday, November 24th at 2:30 or 5:30 pm, leave the cooking to the Palisades Tahoe for a delicious dinner buffet.

The buffet will feature cutting stations, charcuterie, seafood, festive side dishes and super-sweet desserts. Guests receive a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, and a full bar can be purchased.



Reservations should be made by Monday 21st November. Adult fare is $90 (tax/tip included) and child fare is $29 (tax/tip included). Children under 4 are free, but a seat reservation is still required for them.

Garwoods serving Thanksgiving dinner on the water

Garwoods will be hosting a family friendly Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 24th starting at 12 noon. Additionally, their regular menu will also be available.

Thanksgiving dinner features roasted butternut squash bisque or holiday raspberry pear salad. Entrees will offer guests slow-roasted Tom Turkey with giblet gravy and garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, or honey pineapple ham with pecans and brown sugar mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Dessert will be a choice between warm French apples or pumpkin pie.

Meals are $65 for adults and $35 for children 10 and under.

Lone Eagle Grille Hosts Thanksgiving

The Lone Eagle Grille at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Spa and Casino will host a Thanksgiving holiday meal for guests and local residents. The three-course holiday meal will showcase seasonal dishes and holiday classics prepared by the resort’s talented culinary team.

“We’re excited to announce a holiday dining experience at the Lone Eagle Grille this Thanksgiving,” said General Manager Zach Bradford. “Specially curated by our talented team, the menu will feature a selection of holiday favorites and locally inspired entrees set against the backdrop of our unparalleled Lake Tahoe beauty.”

The meal will be served Thursday, November 24th from 1-8 pm for $84 per person (plus tax and tip).

The menu will offer a variety of options, including a choice between Thai pumpkin and coconut soup, or a fall harvest special with butternut squash and Chioggia beets. Entrees will include cider-marinated roast turkey breast and applewood-smoked pulled turkey thighs, as well as à la carte options including delicious options like buttermilk whipped potatoes, crispy Brussels sprouts or truffle baked penne.

Vacation Experience will also offer a vegetarian menu. It will substitute a turkey entree for a real phyllo-wrapped risotto tower with a delicious ciabatta filling, green beans and pearl onions, mushroom velvet, crispy leeks, and a Grand Mariner and ginger-cranberry dressing.

Truckee’s Bar of America will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 24th starting at 11:30am with regular lunch and dinner menus.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Home, Presented by Kitchen Collab

The Kitchen Collab’s annual Family Thanksgiving Dinner offers community members and those traveling to the Basin for the holidays the opportunity to enjoy a special dinner prepared by MOGROG Rotisserie and Local Chef Productions, as well as pies by Ron Allen Catering.

The first is to place your order by Saturday, November 19th. Pickup time is Wednesday 12-4pm at the Kitchen Collab in Truckee. Then, reheat as directed for a delicious meal on Thanksgiving.

Seventh Annual Wild Scenery Film Festival

Join Mountain Conservation at the 7th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Friday, November 18th from 5:30-9pm in historic downtown Truckee.

The event will be held at a community arts center. This year’s theme is Currents of Hope, featuring award-winning films about the unique natural world, the need for activism, and rewarding outdoor adventure.

This family-friendly event will feature food, drink and a sweepstakes to benefit MAP. Ticket prices vary, with general admission starting at $15.

Truckee Downtown Holiday Festival and Budfish Tree Illuminations

Celebrate the holiday with the annual Downtown Budfish Tree Illumination in historic downtown Truckee at dusk on Friday, November 18.

The Truckee Downtown Merchants Association and the Rotary Club of Truckee have held this free event for 45 years to share their respect for the Truckee community.

A small tree decorated by more than 600 local elementary school students will be in addition to business, along with a visit from Santa and hot cocoa.

Streets will be lit up with holiday lights and the highlight of the night will be the lighting of the Bud Fish Tree at 5:20 pm in honor of beloved Truckee community members.
