Abu Dhabi announces new water taxi service for residents and tourists – News

Abu Dhabi Maritime Authority announced on Thursday that it has launched a new public water taxi service in Dayas Bay and Raha Beach communities.

The service will provide the public with another transportation option. It will be open 7 days a week. With hourly boats available at each station, the service will initially operate from high-demand locations including Yas Bay, Yas Marina and Al Bandar, with more stations to follow.

Dr Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, Director General of Operations, Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), said: Connectivity makes it easier for Abu Dhabi residents and tourists to travel to high-demand destinations. “

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral Group, said: “With enhanced connectivity, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to navigate, explore and enjoy the island’s world-class offerings and landmarks.

Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Maritime, said: “The launch of public water taxi services in the Dayas Bay and Raha beach areas represents a pivotal moment in our long-term strategy to develop world-class public water transport in Abu Dhabi. system.”
