Pierce Brosnan is a grandfather for the fourth time.
The former James Bond star’s son Sean and his wife Sanja welcomed a baby boy named Jaxon Elia Brosnan on Nov. 12.
Introducing the newest member of the Brosnan family to the world, the “Black Adam” actor wrote on Instagram: “Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan born on November 12, 2022 at 3:06pm …My dearest grandson, welcome. Congratulations, my dear Sean, Sanja and Marley. May you all be safe.”
Jaxxon is the sibling of the couple’s 7-year-old daughter, Marley May Cassandra.
The 69-year-old Irish star is also grandfather to the late daughter Charlotte’s two children, Isabella and Lucas.
Pierce has previously admitted his days remain “dark, sombre” after the deaths of his wife and daughter from ovarian cancer.
The “Goldeneye” star, whose first wife Cassandra died of ovarian cancer in 1991, and Charlotte, who died of the same disease in 2013 at the age of 41, isn’t a particularly optimistic person.
“I don’t think the glass is half full, trust me,” Pierce said. “That swarthy, brooding black Irish dog sits next to me every now and then.”
The actor, who adopts Cassandra’s children Charlotte and Christopher, 50, and son Sean, 39, and father of Dylan, 25, Paris, 21, and wife Keely Shaye Smith – has only met his father once, when At 31, there’s no one to learn “father’s instincts” from him.
He said in 2017: “I know what it’s like to raise a son, it can be a very difficult road.
“My father instincts are purely my own. They have nothing to do with anyone, because no one.”
