UAE: 10 creators of ‘Louvre Abu Dhabi Art is Here’ shortlisted for AED2.2 million prize

Art Here 2022, curated by Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation Director Reem Fadda, features the work of 10 artists from the UAE and the wider GCC who are shortlisted for this year’s Richard Miller Art Prize: Afra Al Dhaheri , Ayman Zedani, Dana Awartani, Elizabeth Dorazio, Manal Al Dowayan, Rand Abdul Jabbar, Simrin Mehra Agarwal, Shaikha Al Mazrou, Vikram Divecha and Zeinab AlHashemi.

From the shortlist, a jury will select the winner of the Richard Mille Art Prize, which will be announced at a ceremony in early 2023. The winner will receive USD 60,000 (AED 2.2 million).

The Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here 2022 exhibition is part of the museum’s fifth anniversary celebrations, part of the UAE’s cultural season, which includes Abu Dhabi Art, a new exhibition at NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery, Dubai Design Week and Dubai Art Festival. The opening builds on the UAE’s diverse cultural calendar, enabling the community to discover the local arts scene and demonstrating the country’s commitment to fostering creativity.
