- This weekend is the time for the Al Dhafra community to enjoy a curated array of entertainment and fun and make memories
Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Department of Community Development has announced that the next Abu Dhabi Moments weekend will be held in Al Dhannah City, Al Dhafrah Region, from 25th to 27th November. A well-planned variety of fun activities will entertain visitors. Gates are open from 4:00pm to 11:00pm and admission and all events are free to all members of the public.
During the successful launch of Khalifa Square Abu Dhabi and a weekend at Al Jahili Park, the latter welcoming more than 44,000 visitors, the two Moments events in Abu Dhabi have seen more than 100,000 visitors to date.
The Al Dhannah City community is welcome to participate in a variety of community events including various performances, educational workshops for children, challenging games and walkthroughs.
His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Balooshi, Executive Director, Community Engagement and Sports, DCD, said: “We are delighted to be bringing the fun of Abu Dhabi moments to the community of Al Dhannah City for the first time, having previously entertained the public at Khalifa Square with Park and Al Al Jahili Park in Ain, an initiative where all individuals and families create special moments and turn them into cherished memories by participating in various activities that we have carefully organized for all members of the community has been overwhelmingly successful.
“The gathering of families and the entire community at an event has shown us that the spirit of solidarity is alive and well in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, regardless of social barriers. At DCD, we are excited to create an environment that inspires this spirit of harmony, enriching people’s lives through the diverse experiences of the Abu Dhabi moment,” he added, adding that as the weather cools, Abu Dhabi Zabi Moments is one of the best weekend events for outdoor community entertainment in the emirate.
The Community Development Department is delighted to work with key sponsors including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Ethmar Holdings, Al Dhannah City, NMC Healthcare, Al Ain Farms and Toshiba, both key partners in achieving the goals of the community initiative. DCD is also working with strategic partners including the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Al Ain Municipality, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Police, We Are Police, National Health Insurance Corporation- Daman, Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Family Development Foundation, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Hayat Post Care Association, Mohamed bin Rashid Special Education The Centre, Museum of Illusions, Al Ain Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, Chapters Fitness & Soul and Seven Wellness provide various forms of support to ensure the Abu Dhabi Government’s goals and strategies are met.
