The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has launched the rebranded ADX Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Market.

The step follows the introduction of an ETF tracking the FADX 15, the exchange’s benchmark index due to launch in March 2022, which was listed on Wednesday.

The launch of ADX’s rebranded ETF platform, marked by a bell-ringing ceremony, coincided with the listing of the Chimera FTSE ADX 15 ETF (CHADX15) on the ETF Market, ADX’s eighth listed ETF. CHADX15 will mimic the performance and stocks of the companies that make up the constituents of the FADX 15 index. This will open up possibilities for investors looking for investment opportunities that aim for long-term and high growth through a diversified basket of ADX stocks.

The rebranded ETF platform will continue to provide investors with enhanced liquidity and build on ADX’s ability to innovate and provide world-class investment and trading strategies through diversified investment vehicles. ETF trading continues to grow, supported by ADX’s market infrastructure and strategy to innovate, enhance and expand its investment offerings.

With a total turnover of over AED 1.5 billion, ADX’s ETF market is the most liquid and active in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, offering investors a wide range of investment options, including Shariah compliance and geographic diversification fund. ADX has seen a strong year-to-date increase in ETF market activity with approximately 12,500 trades and 243 million units traded, cementing its position as a major center for regional ETFs as ADX continues to look further afield with plans for global List ETFs among issuers.

Saeed Hamad Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ADX, said: “Our ability to innovate and bring in an increasingly diverse range of investment opportunities continues to position us as a leading regional exchange. Likewise, recent trading activity on the platform and CHADX15’s The launch strengthens ADX’s position as a regional center and home for ETFs. By executing on our strategy, we will continue to expand our diversified investment product line, drive market efficiencies and drive sustainable growth.”
