Robbie Williams wanted to work with Wet Leg.
The 48-year-old star is a big fan of the “Chaise Longue” hit, but fears they’ll be hesitant to collaborate with him on new music because of his age.
“I like this band called Wet Leg. I really want to work with them. I don’t know if they want to work with me,” Robbie said on Italian radio.
Robbie, who released his album XXV earlier this year, also revealed he has big plans for 2023, but not music.
He said: “My long-term goals are many and varied. I want to build a hotel. I want to open a chain. I have some clothing that I plan to do.
“I wrote a TV show…a movie is coming out. I’m very busy, but I’m so grateful that these things keep happening to me.”
Meanwhile, Robbie recently defended his decision to perform in Qatar during the World Cup despite international criticism of the country’s ban on homosexuality.
He said: “Of course, I will not condone human rights violations anywhere.
“That being said, if we don’t condone human rights abuses anywhere, this will be the shortest tour in the world. I can’t even perform in my own kitchen.
“Anyone who says ‘no’ to Qatar is doing so against Chinese technology. I would be hypocritical not to go [to Qatar] Because of where I’ve been.
“I think the hypocrisy is that if we’re dealing with this situation in this place, we need to apply it unilaterally to the world … and then if we apply it unilaterally to the world, nobody can go anywhere. “
