According to the World Health Organization, cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide, currently killing approximately 10 million people each year.Millions of people are still diagnosed with cancer each year, and approximately 400,000 children develop new cancers each year[1].

Professor Syed Hussain, Consultant Medical Oncologist, University of Sheffield, UKsaid: “The outlook for cancer is changing. The burden of cancer is increasing and will continue to increase over the next decade. We need to be able to improve drug development so that patients can receive better treatment earlier. We also have many New technologies and technological developments, but one of the main things we can do is to detect and prevent cancer early. If we can detect cancer early, the survival rate of patients within 5 years will be as high as 80%.”

As one of the main methods of prevention, early detection of cancer has been an important topic for many years. Early detection of cancer has two main components, early diagnosis or downstaging and appropriate screening.
