In our experience, our normally trustworthy cars seem to fail completely *mechanic’s breath* only in the most economically impracticable circumstances.
It’s payday, after-sales shopping spree, after rent is due, credit cards are hitting that limit — but that’s okay because I’m driving with the windows open, the system on, and… rumble. The car breaks down (same car, same car) and all of a sudden you’re a meme wondering if you’re “recovering from this forever”.
Stay strong friends. There is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel/dual carriageway though. The Integrated Traffic Center (ITC) of Abu Dhabi Orange Street Guard, the Road Services Patrol, provides a range of free emergency and restoration services for breakdowns on all major roads in Abu Dhabi.

They’ll tow the vehicle to the nearest garage, or provide enough fuel for you to drive yourself. They also removed the damaged vehicle from the accident scene.
