Moeen Ali announced as UAE ILT20 Sharjah team captain

Moeen Ali has been named captain of the Sharjah Warriors ahead of the inaugural edition of the UAE’s ILT20. Capri Global’s Sharjah Warriors will be managed by former England assistant coach Paul Farbrace. The competition will take place on January 13 in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

“It is an honor to lead the Sharjah Warriors and I will be very happy,” Ali said. “Anyone can beat anyone in this format and it’s important to keep improving. With our team we can play aggressive but sensible cricket and hope to be involved at the commercial end of ILT20.
