Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the first low-altitude airline in the UAE capital, has announced the launch of a new route from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Starting 7 December 2022, the airline will operate twice a week (Wednesday/Saturday) an Airbus 320 connecting Abu Dhabi International Airport and Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport.
Adel Al Ali, Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to add Tashkent to our growing network with direct flights from Abu Dhabi. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi continues to increase connections to and from the capital as part of its ongoing expansion plans. The newly opened Tashkent route is considered to be following Alexandria, Sohag, Cairo, Dhaka, Khartoum, Chittagong, Kathmandu, Muscat, Salalah, Sarajevo, Trabzon, Tbilisi, 26th destination after Faisalabad, Multan, Cochin, Calicut, Trivandrum, Sabiha, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bahrain, Beirut, Kuwait and Moscow.
Air Arabia operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft, the most modern and best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world. The cabin configuration of the Air Arabia fleet offers more comfort, with one of the widest seat pitches in any economy class. The aircraft is also equipped with “SkyTime,” a free inflight streaming service that allows passengers to stream a variety of entertainment directly to their devices.
Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is one of the oldest cities on the Central European Silk Road. It is famous for its tourist attractions and landmarks, which are concentrated in the old town, with its cozy courtyards, bustling bazaars, artisans, teahouses and bakeries.
