PARADISE (Texas), Dec. 4 (AP) — A 7-year-old Texas girl was found dead two days after she was reported missing and a FedEx delivery driver was arrested in connection with her death, authorities said.
The body of Athena Strand, 31, of Tanna Lynn Horner ( Tanner Lynn Horner was arrested on kidnapping and murder charges after admitting killing the girl and telling authorities where her body could be found.

Horner remained in jail Saturday on $1.5 million bond. Jail records did not list an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
Arkin said at a news conference late Friday that authorities had a lead on Horner, who the sheriff said made a delivery to the girl’s home shortly before she went missing.

Horner, who did not know the girl’s family, declined to discuss a motive for the crime, according to Arkin.
“We don’t really have access to the contents of the confession, but I would say we have a confession from Horner,” Arkin said.
The girl’s stepmother reported her missing Wednesday from their home in the Paradise neighborhood, a northwest suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
Arkin said her body was found near the town of Boyd, about 6 miles (9.6 kilometers) southeast of Paradise, which is home to about 475 people.
FedEx is cooperating with investigators, said James Dwyer, the acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s Dallas field office.
In a statement, FedEx said it was cooperating with law enforcement agencies investigating the case.
