Pakistani security forces have killed a terrorist commander wanted for high-profile terror activity during firefights in the country’s volatile northwest, the military said.
Muhammad Noor alias Sarakai was killed in clashes with security forces in Shewa, North Waziristan region, on December 2, the military’s media arm, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Saturday.

Noor is wanted by Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for his involvement in several terrorist activities against security forces and several cases of kidnapping and extortion.
“The notorious terrorist commander Muhammad Noor (alias Sarakai) was killed in the intense firefight. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist,” it added.
Last month, a Pakistani army soldier was killed in a gun battle with terrorists in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
