ATHENS – At a reception held by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation on Friday to celebrate the UAE National Day, UAE Ambassador Sulaiman Al Mazrouei said that relations between the two friendly countries, Greece and the United Arab Emirates, are expanding.
In his speech, the UAE ambassador to Greece noted that economic relations had gained momentum “especially during the recent exchange of high-level visits between friendly leaders of the two countries”. In fact, he described the recent visit to Greece by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as milestones in the development of bilateral relations and expressed confidence that they will be further strengthened.
He highlighted that the UAE and Greece have developed government-to-government relations with more than 50 agreements and have more than US$4 billion in funds. He placed particular emphasis on developing sustainable economic relations to enhance bilateral business activities (B2B).
He also said they were now “more encouraged and optimistic that the economic relationship between our two countries will achieve more prosperous achievements.”
The UAE ambassador emphasized that the UAE supports diplomacy over conflict, cooperation over unilateralism, dialogue over confrontation, and stated that the UAE will always stand with close friends and strategic allies.
