The two female pilots have begun to perform important air missions for the Dubai Police. Dana Al Mazmi and Mahra bin Hammad have received training in rescuing injured people from the scene of an accident; searching and rescuing people who have lost their way in the desert or mountains; transmitting scene images from the scene of the accident to the police control room; and protecting the incident.
The two pilots joined the force after graduating from the Dubai Police Academy in 2019.
Prior to UAE Women’s Day on August 28, Mahra expressed pride in the height of women in the Dubai police. She vowed to work hard to serve the country.
Dana says she is proud of her work. “The tasks entrusted to me will help protect society and serve my country.”
Last year, a member of the Dubai royal family became the first female pilot of the police, making history. The duties of Captain Sheikha Mozah bint Marwan Al Maktoum include patrols and search and rescue missions. “I am proud of serving my country. This is a very useful role. I can help the community in the work I love, and I love it very much,” she said at the time.
The police revealed last week that their horse patrol ushered in the first female rider. Captain Halima Al Saadi has joined the Mounted Police Force. Her work includes seizing illegal vehicles, arresting criminals and imposing fines on offenders.
