[ad_1]

The holidays are the happiest time at the Disneyland Resort. There are so many amazing things to experience while visiting.Get a chance to visit Santa Claus and embark on the funniest cruise on earth it’s a small world holiday, and of course a selection of gingerbread cookies!Another highlight of the holiday is Entertainment Everywhere at the Disneyland ResortYou can find incredible entertainment just about anywhere you can go at the Disneyland Resort during the holidays. From parades, carols, nightly spectaculars to professional entertainers, there is something for everyone!

With the sheer amount of entertainment on offer throughout the seasons, it can be difficult to prioritize what to watch! To make the process easier, here are 6 must-see entertainment at Disneyland Resort during the holidays. They’re in no particular order, but they’re the 6 most popular on the Daps Magic team.

Mickey’s Happy Holidays

Mickey’s Happy Holidays is perhaps the happiest entertainment during the Disneyland Resort holiday season, and you’ll be tapping your toes and smiling as you watch Mickey and friends dance around Disney California Adventure throughout the day. The song is catchy, the costumes of the characters and dancers are festive, and it’s fun to see Disney and Pixar characters dance together. Oh, and did I mention it’s short? You don’t have to wait long either! Just show up a few minutes before the start and enjoy the show! The best place to see it is on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywoodland. This is such a fun and joyous ride, you won’t want to miss it!

TIP: Show up before the parade starts and enjoy Mickey and a bunch dancing along the parade route!

The world of color – the season of light

World of Color – Season of Lights is an absolutely incredible show that takes place nightly at Paradise Cove and truly brings the magic of Christmas to life in a very big way. It combines favorite holiday tunes with some magical moments from Disney and Pixar stories. This all combines with the incredible lights, fountains and effects that World of Color has to offer. The show draws viewers into the magic through different songs and moments. It’s a wonderful goodnight kiss to end a day at Disney California Adventure, or even Disneyland Resort!

Tip: Get in the virtual queue for this noon, experience a dessert party, or try a standby.

Phat Cat Swinger Festival Concert

Paradise Gardens Park hosts holiday concerts every evening at 6:00 PM and 7:15 PM. From Wednesday nights through Saturday nights, these concerts feature small West Coast band Phat Cat Swinger. Their two shows were full of energy, great music, and occasional moments of humor. This band also does a great job of connecting with the audience which only adds to the experience. There was also a “selfie moment” with the band during the 6:00 show, which was great fun. Phat Cat Swingers don’t just perform the season’s music, they bring it to life through performance and interaction with the audience.

Tip: For the best spot, show up fifteen minutes before the concert. However, the Phat Cat Swinger can basically be walked up to and decently seen anytime before or during their concerts! Dancing in front is also encouraged!

Long live Disney Christmas!

Another great entertainment not to be missed is the Disney ¡ Viva Navidad! Hosted by Donald Duck, José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles, this vibrant street party features folk dancers, mariachi bands, samba dancers, drummers, a 12-foot tall Santa Claus and Santa’s mojiganga puppets, and rice Mouse joins in too and Minnie Mouse! This show is very popular, so don’t show up at the last minute if you want to see it. This is a show that will make you want to dance and sing along with dynamic musicians and performers! Another show that will definitely make you smile!

Tip: Show up 20 to 30 minutes early and get as close to the center of the viewing area as possible at Bayside Brews. This is the most immersive place to watch a street party!

Christmas Fantasy Parade

A Christmas classic, Christmas Fantasy Parade has been celebrating the “spirit of the season” for nearly three decades! With live trumpet-blowing toy soldiers, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, loads of Disney and Pixar friends, and Santa Claus, it’s the ultimate Christmas parade! Santa’s elves also dance throughout the parade in preparation for the biggest day of the year. The parade is full of nostalgia, Christmas magic and joy. It also continues to be very popular! The best place to watch the parade is Main Street America, which is also the most popular. Be prepared to spend some time waiting to see the Christmas Fantasy Parade. Plus, you can watch it in the afternoon sunlight, or in the evening with the magical lights that accompany it through the dark. Both are wonderful experiences.

Tip: wait with friends and family. Plan to get a spot an hour (or sometimes earlier) before the parade starts. Plus, make friends with neighbors who are waiting! They are doing the same thing!

Believe… Holiday Magic Fireworks and Snow

what’s more amazing than a white christmas? Disneyland’s fireworks and snowfall provide some magical moments of White Christmas, definitely a good contender! Believe me… in Holiday Magic, the Disneyland Resort has a long and spectacular holiday fireworks display. Here’s a beautiful firework show with favorite Christmas tunes and festive fireworks. There are also some beautiful projections used throughout the show. As the show draws to a close, snow falls on Main Street America, the area around it is a small world, and happy guests around the fantastic American River! View area. The whole experience was absolutely enchanting and magical. Half the fun is the holiday magic Disney creates, and the other half is watching the faces of people delight as they experience the magical moments they create. Here’s another great way to end your vacation at the Disneyland Resort.

Tip: Be on Main Street 20-30 minutes before Believe… in Holiday Magic starts. Choose a place where you can see Sleeping Beauty’s winter castle and Christmas tree. Admire the castle during the fireworks, then see the castle and Christmas tree during the snowfall. Both are beautiful.

There are plenty of other holiday entertainment to enjoy and experience around the Disneyland Resort during the holidays. For example, Disneyland’s Dickens Yuletide Band brings classic Christmas music, and Mostly Kosher brings Sonoma Terrace to life at Disneyland multiple times a day. The list really goes on and on. However, the above six points are really not to be missed and should be prioritized during a vacation at the Disneyland Resort.
