Passionate hotelier Remus Palimaru has joined Rosewood Abu Dhabi as its new Managing Director. With over 20 years of global hospitality experience in Europe, Asia and the Americas, Palimaru brings a wealth of experience and exceptional knowledge after managing teams for some of the world’s leading and most luxurious hotel brands.
Prior to joining Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Palimaru was Hotel Manager at Rosewood London since 2017, where he was responsible for aligning the hotel’s strategy to achieve outstanding performance through profits that exceeded budget for the year. Additionally, Palimaru was selected in 2019 to support Rosewood Bermuda as Interim Managing Director.
Palimaru has a proven track record of inspiring and leading change to impact performance and overseeing a number of luxury global hospitality properties through brand repositioning while maintaining their leading market positions. He has also been involved in the opening of nine luxury hotels around the world.

Born in Romania and raised in Denmark, Palimaru attended Florida State University where he earned a BA in Business Administration. A highly respected and hands-on man, he will lead the hotel into its next phase of development, focusing on excellence in service and hospitality. He is fluent in Romanian, Danish and English, and converses in German and Japanese.
