Abu Dhabi Airports enhances passenger experience with joint off-site check-in initiative

Etihad Airways, Wizz Air and EgyptAir passengers departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport can now use the new off-city check-in service. The city registration facility, located at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal in Mina Zayed, was announced at an event attended by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

Etihad Airways, Wizz Air and EgyptAir passengers departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport can now use the new off-city check-in service.The joint initiative, called MORAFIQ, is supported by Abu Dhabi Airports, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Capital Travel, Etihad Airways
Airport Services, OACIS Middle East and Tourism 365.

The city registration facility, located at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal in Mina Zayed, was announced at an event attended by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

HE Eng Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are committed to providing a smooth journey for our passengers at our airports and this service will provide flexibility in where they check-in Enjoy Abu Dhabi.” Abu Dhabi Airport Official. “The idea is to have multiple check-in points across the city to provide passengers with hassle-free travel and a wider choice of boarding touchpoints when departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport.”

The facility is open from 09:00 to 21:00 and passengers can check-in and drop baggage up to 24 hours in advance and up to four hours before the flight departure time. Passengers can also purchase add-ons such as excess baggage, preferred seating and flight upgrades. Prices start from Dhs45 for adults, Dhs25 for children, Dhs15 for infants and Dhs120 for a family of four.
