Ali & Sons, Inter Emirates Motors (IEM), the official distributor of MG Motor in the UAE, has launched the all-new 2023 MG RX5. Developed to meet all the needs of the curious and adventurous driver, the MG RX5 is considered versatile, capable, sporty and fun.
The all-new 2023 MG RX5 is now available in three variants in the UAE.
The all-new 2023 MG RX5 incorporates 22 stylish design upgrades, 8 performance upgrades, and 25 configuration upgrades, aiming to provide a healthy, comfortable, safe, efficient, and intelligently connected travel experience. The arrival of MG’s latest SUV will help the brand cement its place in the top six Middle Eastern automakers.
The latest technology
The 2023 MG RX5 incorporates the latest technology, introducing the second-generation Net Blue petrol engine, delivering more power and greater efficiency. This 1.5T high-pressure direct-injection turbocharger can provide 171hp and maximum power. 275Nm of torque – 10 per cent more than its predecessor – enables the new model to reach a top speed of 190km/h, while its fuel economy figure is 6.8L/100km. All models are equipped with an innovative 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for smoother, more efficient shifts and optimum reliability.
The designers of MG’s latest SUV drew inspiration from the intelligence and ingenuity of home design to create a cabin space that is truly natural and comfortable. The well-designed cabin is padded with soft materials to ensure the occupants’ complete comfort during the journey.
The center console integrates a sleek, high-tech 14.1-inch high-definition vertical touchscreen that floats above the redesigned dashboard. An ergonomic gear lever won’t look out of place in a spacecraft, while placing the center armrest at level with the door armrests ensures an ergonomic design more akin to a comfortable sofa. There’s plenty of storage space, and the top model even has a wireless phone charger.

main category
Over the years, MG has successfully broken into many major categories and ranked among the top 10 automakers in the GCC region. In 2021, MG selected IEM, a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding, as its official distributor in the UAE, and since then it has expanded rapidly and is now present in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Ain and Sharjah – and service centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Since IEM took over MG’s operations, the automaker has continued to gain momentum, and in less than a year, was able to capture a 3% market share in the UAE and forecast continued growth. — trade arab news agency
