Abu Dhabi Customs has launched an updated version of its cargo clearance service – as its first developed customs service – in support of the Abu Dhabi Easy Customer Experience initiative.
According to reports, the updated service aims to enhance user experience, support global trade movements and ease of doing business in the emirate by reducing the effort and time required to complete the necessary procedures for customs clearance of goods to Abu Dhabi. Wow.
The update service provided through the TAMM platform reduces the steps in the process from 13 to 2, and some data will be automatically filled in according to the type of shipment.
Available for the first time to individuals and companies, the service has been expanded to accept electronic identification from outside the UAE, enhancing the service and expanding internationally, previously only available to domestic companies with a valid Emirates ID.
Abu Dhabi Customs has updated its cargo clearance service to enhance customer experience and bring it in line with the best international standards in this field. Individuals, businesses and companies could benefit from enhanced services and release of goods at entry and exit customs ports, the report said.
The service covers goods imported for commercial purposes, personal entry, customs clearance imports and temporary entry or goods to be exported and re-exported, as well as goods transiting between the emirate and the free zone. The country, other emirates or neighboring countries, it added.
