Times are tough. These days, people are trying to find ways to earn extra cash to offset the inflation we feel in our bank accounts. But as more consumers are looking for ways to supplement their income, so have the number of scams to be aware of.

Can answering questions really make money? Is it really that easy? I signed up to find out, and here’s what I learned.
What is Survey Junkie?

Immediately after signing up for Survey Junkie, I got 25 welcome points, then another 25 after verifying my email address. I was bombarded with some “get to know me” surveys that filled out some of my profile.
All of a sudden, I’m 30 minutes into it and already have 136 points. I’m not even sure where the time has gone. If you’ve ever been caught by the Pinterest effect, you start scrolling through Pinterest and BOOM! You’ve lost half the day without showing anything – kind of like that.
