The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has held meetings with various recruitment agencies in the UAE to discuss the latest developments and ways to benefit from the Nafis platform, helping companies with 50 or more employees to achieve their Emiratisation target of 2 employees Percentage of skilled jobs by the end of 2022.

The meeting was held in line with efforts aimed at implementing relevant resolutions of the UAE Cabinet and avoiding penalties from January 2023 for companies that do not commit to meeting stated targets.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, as well as senior officials from 66 Emirati companies of various specializations – including companies providing temporary employment and labor supply services through mediation offices, and company cadres providing medical personnel.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar said: “The UAE’s labor market is entering a new phase that focuses on the central role of the country’s human capital in the private sector. Emirati skilled employees make up the majority of Emirati employees registered within the ministry’s system and they are proving Their positive impact on the economy.”

He added: “We are on the verge of a fundamental change in the country’s labor market as civic engagement increases and the local business environment becomes more competitive. This is in light of the support Nafis plans to provide to UAE cadres and private sector institutions, and the Ministry’s follow-up to implement regulatory legislation and resolutions aimed at increasing citizen participation in the private sector.”

During the meeting, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the private sector as an important partner in the development of the Emiratisation, to achieve the country’s goal of improving the business environment and creating an investment environment that encourages companies, investors, entrepreneurs and talents from all over. The world works in the UAE, especially in areas of strategic priority.

The meeting discussed welfare and support programs for institutions that comply with the legislation, particularly those classified as Category 1 in the ministry’s classification system for institutions. These agencies are awarded membership in the Emirates Partners Club and are eligible for up to 80% discounts on departmental service charges.
