ABU DHABI, 20th December, 2022 (WAM) — The Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi, SCAD, organized a ceremony to honor strategic partners of government entities for their contribution to the development of the statistical ecosystem.
This recognition coincides with SCAD’s efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with government entities, the main pillars of the decentralized statistics ecosystem and primary support for SCAD’s statistical projects and initiatives.
Yousuf Fahad, Executive Director of SCAD, said: “The decentralized statistical ecosystem reflects SCAD’s robust and sustainable collaboration with relevant government entities in Abu Dhabi. The Statistics Decentralized Ecosystem project was launched in 2021 to support government entities and increase their readiness to produce high-quality official statistics, to be organizers of strategic sectors, and to implement development plans based on available data. The project will benefit government entities through a flexible approach to generate in-depth statistical products in less time for immediate decision-making processes.
The first two phases of Abu Dhabi’s decentralized statistics ecosystem include integration with more than a dozen government entities, while a number of targeted government entities will follow in 2032 to adopt the same standard vision for integration with the ecosystem, improving quality in Under a unified framework, ensure the quality and release of statistical output to achieve the ultimate goal of establishing a comprehensive statistical system.
The honored government entities are the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi Economic Development, Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Community Development, Abu Dhabi Energy, Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Environment Authority, Abu Dhabi Customs and Abu Dhabi Waste Management PJSC (Tadweer).
SCAD also hosted the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of the Statistical Capacity Development Programme, offered by the SCAD Statistical Training Institute for Abu Dhabi Government employees. These projects are part of SCAD’s strategy to develop a statistical ecosystem in Abu Dhabi. The first cohort included more than 80 graduates from 30 government units. The program consists of three training certificates: Abu Dhabi Statistics Fellowship Programme, Official Statistics Certification and Strategic Leadership Executive Programme.
SCAD’s Statistical Training Academy organizes training programs within SCAD’s commitment to develop an integrated and advanced statistical ecosystem in Abu Dhabi, by building and supporting the statistical capacity of government employees to produce high-quality statistical data for decision-making and strategy Plan to provide information.
