UAE Golden Visa cements Dubai’s top spot in global citizenship rankings

[ad_1]

Dubai once again stood out as the leading residence and citizenship by investment (RCBI) center for the second year in a row.

According to a report by Swiss boutique firm Passport Legacy, UAE authorities have issued more than 150,000 golden visas, which have been recognized.

The report states that the UAE will have 35 international RCBI experts in 2022, rising from 30 the previous year to world-leading levels.

It stressed that the country would be able to “sustain its growth by reducing the minimum investment required recently and opening up opportunities to talent across multiple industries”.

The UAE Golden Visa seems to have put the UAE in the spotlight as demand for it is increasing day by day. The UAE Golden Visa is one of a kind, as its benefits extend to immediate family members.

Under the Golden Visa, children can be sponsored by Golden Visa or Green Residence Visa holders until the age of 25 (previously the upper age limit was 18), and there is no age limit for unmarried daughters.

In addition, the Golden Visa also attracts workers from all over the world, as determined children can obtain a residence permit regardless of their age.

First implemented in 2019, the UAE Golden Visa residency scheme enables expatriates to live, work and study in the UAE without a national sponsor and take 100% ownership of their businesses in the UAE mainland.

With the new regulations, the UAE Golden Visa will grant 10-year residency to investors, entrepreneurs, outstanding talents, scientists and professionals, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes who pass certain eligibility benchmarks.

The UAE authorities appear to be opening up the land to professionals and highly skilled workers with educational qualifications and professional experience in all disciplines, who are now eligible for Golden Visas and setting the tone for their personal and professional success.

Workers in medicine, science and engineering, information technology, business and management, education, law, culture and social sciences can apply for a golden visa.

Commenting on the report, Jeffrey Henseler, Managing Partner and Founder of Passport Legacy UAE HQ, said the UAE’s ranking as the best RCBI hub in the world is based on a number of attractive factors such as world-class infrastructure, business-friendly environment , strategic geographical location, and favorable government policies to promote trade and investment.

It also helped the country gain a foothold with the world’s No. 1 passport, he added.

Henseler believes that with around 5,000 people around the world each year looking to obtain dual citizenship through RCBI, and the continued success of the UAE Golden Visa incentive, the country will continue to gain traction as a destination of choice.

The UAE is an award-winning immigration passport, as its passport is also the most powerful travel document in the world.

Travelers with UAE passports have easy access to 180 countries; that means seven more than European countries such as Germany and Sweden, and nine more than Japan, whose travel document was released earlier this year by Henley & Partners. Voted the best in the world on this list.
