AITKING – The Ripple Center invites assisted living residents and seniors to a free matinee show on Wednesday, December 21 at 2pm featuring Mike and Jan Cherry, a Country Christmas favorite.
In partnership with Aitkin County CARE, a matinee performance for seniors at the Hodgeden Opera House at The Ripple Center includes appetizers and hot chocolate.
There will also be a 7pm show for the public later that evening.Tickets to the show are $10 in advance

Crossing Arts offers art classes for kids, teens
Brainerd – The Crossing Arts Alliance offers after-school art classes for children and teens as part of its Wednesday studio program. In December, there will be instructions on how to make a gnome ornament out of yarn and felt.
Classes aged 13 to 18 will meet on Wednesday 21 December from 3pm to 5pm. Classes will be held in Crossing Arts classrooms and will cost $25 per student.

Sertoma winter wonderland returns to Arb
BAXTER — Sertoma Winter Wonderland returns for Season 16 of its magical Christmas event on Wednesday, December 21st through December 31st, 5:30-8:30pm.
Presented by the Brainerd Noon Sertoma Club and four non-profit partners, the event is 100% driven by volunteers, with all proceeds benefiting the non-profit partners and the community.
Premium tickets are $10 per vehicle and are available at Northland Arboretum, Baxter and Brainerd’s Cub Foods, Baxter’s Super One Foods and Pequot Lakes’ SuperValu. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20 per vehicle (cash or check only).

Ripple Center Presents Duluth Funky Jam Band
AITKING – New Salty Dog will perform at the Hodgdon Opera House at the Ripple Centre, Aitkin on Thursday 22 December at 7pm. The Duluth-based funk and jam band was formerly known as Jacob Mahon & the Salty Dogs.
The core group consists of vocals and guitarist Jacob Mahon, drummer Owen Mahon and bassist Calvin “Calzone” Lund. Expect a performance in the spirit of the Grateful Dead, complete with holiday music, according to The Ripple Center.
Tickets to the show are $20 in advance
