His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, launched the emirate’s new human resources policy at a meeting on Wednesday.

Dr Sheikh Sultan said that 2,249 job seekers were employed in 2022 and 2,417 job seekers – those registered in the Sharjah Human Resources database in or before 2019 – will be employed in 2023. The conditions set out in the new policy will apply to them.

There are conditions for job applicants to register in the Human Resources Department’s database, including proof of unemployment, non-payment of pension, consideration of applicant’s age, and a number of other conditions, he said, noting that the department will work with job applicants for those who tick the boxes. Offer a job.

His Highness said that by 2023, job opportunities in government agencies in Sharjah will be sought through three avenues: job replacement, early retirement for those affected by certain health employee substitution.

The ruler of Sharjah noted that a committee had been set up to study 1,700 cases of elderly women seeking employment. Their circumstances and conditions will be considered to intervene, and in the event that subsidies are required, the government of Sharjah will increase their salaries to at least Dh17,500, in addition to studying the salaries of retirees.

He commended the efforts of all the committees and further stated that they will continue to process the employment files, hoping that the new decision will provide jobs and a decent life and bring joy to the citizens of Sharjah.
