After the Covid-19 pandemic, all scheduled international flights to and from India will be banned from March 23, 2020.
India’s civil aviation regulator extended the ban on international passenger flights until September 30, 2021. However, the ban does not apply to cargo flights and flights approved by the Regulatory Authority of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
After the Covid-19 pandemic, all scheduled international flights to and from India will be banned from March 2020. Since then, regulators have extended the flight ban to the end of each month. However, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has signed bilateral bubble agreements with many countries.

India has signed bubble agreements with about 25 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Bhutan and France.
The rules stipulate that regardless of the travel ban that was originally implemented on March 22, 2020, these special international flights can be operated by their airlines under the bubble agreement between the two countries.

Indians do not need to undergo mandatory quarantine upon arrival:
> Maldives, South Africa, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Russia, Venezuela, Iceland, Mali, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan
> Indian tourists can go directly to these countries only if they sign a bilateral bubble agreement
> These countries/regions require a negative PCR report and the test should be performed within 72 hours before departure.If the passenger tests positive on arrival, he/she will be quarantined
Indians who get the Covishield jab can travel to the following 16 EU countries:
> The “Green Pass” program is applicable to France, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Indian travelers must undergo compulsory quarantine:
> United Kingdom, Qatar, Mexico, Turkey, Panama, Bahrain, Barbados and Rwanda
> Indian passengers are required to submit a negative RT-PCR report within 72 hours before boarding and undergo a mandatory Covid-19 test upon arrival
> Also on arrival, passengers must be quarantined for 10 days.
> They must be tested for Covid-19 on or before the second day and the eighth day, respectively.
