Emirates announces major commercial activities in West Asia, Africa, Gulf Cooperation Council and Central Asia – Dubai Blog

Emirates today announced a number of business leadership campaigns in West Asia, Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council and Central Asia. The six experienced leadership role team members, all UAE nationals, will help drive the airline’s business plans in key markets, with a strategic focus on rebuilding its leadership and expanding its customer base as countries continue to relax restrictions. All new appointments will take effect on September 1, 2021.

All transfers include the entry of UAE talents into key leadership positions, whether promoted from within the organization or through portfolio rotation, strengthening the airline’s commitment to the professional development and advancement of its UAE nationals.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates said: ”Thanks to the strength of the Emirates brand, we focus on executing strategic customers and business plans, and rationally rebuilding our network based on tangible needs. In the long run, the airline is in a good position to produce better results when we sail. The result is restored. The implemented changes within the commercial team have significantly strengthened our management structure in key markets. We are proud of the hard work and dedication of the UAE nationals appointed to these roles in tackling the challenges of the past 18 months, and today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to developing substitutes from within. “

Jabr Al-Azeeby was appointed as the Vice President of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Jabr has been with Emirates for 16 years and previously served as Country Manager in Uganda, Cyprus, Thailand, Pakistan, and most recently as Vice President of India and Nepal.

Mohammed Alnahari Alhashmi was appointed Vice President of Pakistan. Mohammed has held various positions during his 18-year career with Emirates, including management positions in Kuwait, Indonesia, Syria, and the UAE. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mohammad Sarhan previously served as Vice President of Pakistan and will become Vice President of India and Nepal. Mohammad took the first position at Emirates in Côte d’Ivoire in 2009 and has since held various business leadership positions in Vietnam, Greece, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Morocco manager Rashed Alfajeer will become Iran’s country manager. Rashed’s career with Emirates began in 2013 as part of a business manager training program. Since then, Rashed has held multiple roles, including business manager in Sri Lanka, regional manager in Dammam and eastern provinces of Saudi Arabia, and country manager in Tanzania.

Khalfan Al Salami, the country manager of Sudan, will become the manager of Morocco. Khalfan joined the Emirates Business Management Training Program in 2015 and continued to receive further training in Madrid before taking the position of Commercial Manager in Kuwait. Since then, he has been serving as the regional manager of Sudan.

Rashed Salah Al Ansari will become the country manager for Sudan. Rashed has been with Emirates since 2017 and has held various commercial support manager positions in Singapore and Jordan.
