Volunteers take part in a cleanup at Ma’an, Abu Dhabi.
Social Contribution Authority – Ma’an held its latest initiative “Community Cleanup!” in Shawamekh and Shamkhah districts on Saturday.
The program reflects Ma’an’s efforts to support sustainable lifestyles in Abu Dhabi’s communities through voluntary engagement and efforts that can generate positive and sustained social impact for the benefit of all citizens and residents.
Through Community Clean Up!, volunteers will target specific areas of Abu Dhabi to collect recyclable materials, which will then be processed and redistributed as a way of cleaning the emirate and giving back to the community. Volunteers will have the opportunity to organize events, clean selected venues, and help sort and recycle collected materials.
Dr Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Acting Executive Director, Community Engagement and Volunteerism, said: “Our latest ‘Community Cleanup!’ Sustained social impact and benefits to all levels of society.”
