UAE: Sharjah Ruler to offer higher monthly stipend to retired Emiratis from Jan 2 – News

The Ruler of Sharjah announced on Thursday, December 29 that the monthly stipend given to retired citizens of the emirate will be increased.

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, said that 1,000 needy people will be given a salary increase until their standard of living improves. This decision will come into effect on January 2, 2023.

He added that the other 3,500 retired citizens will get a raise in due course.

This announcement applies not only to Sharjah citizens who have worked in the emirate, but also to other emirates.
