ABU DHABI, 29th December, 2022 (WAM) — The Sheikh Zayed Festival will usher in the New Year with the largest record-breaking fireworks display lasting over 40 minutes and a spectacular drone show with more than 3,000 drones. The festival will be open on December 31st from 4pm to 2am and will celebrate the new year by welcoming visitors with a ‘Hayakum’ message.
Revelers will enjoy extraordinary shows, such as the spectacular fireworks display that lasted more than 40 minutes and broke three Guinness World Records, bringing visitors an extraordinary New Year’s experience.
The festival will host the largest drone show, aiming to break a Guinness World Record, with more than 3,000 drones lighting up the skies over Al Wathba at the end of the exhilarating show with a welcome message for the new year.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival will ring in the new year with a dizzying long list of international folklore and arts events and performances, enhancing its reputation as one of the premier international cultural and heritage festivals, Various exhibitions and performances are provided for visitors, such as Heritage Village and UAE Civilization Pavilion, Amusement City, Children’s City, Art Zone, Kart Race, Crazy Cars, Luminous Garden, Selfie Street, Dessert Museum and many more.
Celebrations in participating countries will include entertaining international folklore and cultural performances that will take place throughout the day in festival grounds and pavilions, transforming the festival area into a global arts destination.
Visitors to the festival can explore the many different pavilions and enjoy and experience the arts and culture of the participating countries, such as dance and live music performances on the stages of the various pavilions around the venue.
