Thousands of residents and visitors are expected to attend the festival, which will be held without any Covid-19 restrictions
The much-anticipated New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi will last just over 40 minutes.
Last year, the festival lit up the skies at Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi with a stunning 40-minute show that set three Guinness World Records for volume, duration and formation.
In an attempt to break the existing record, this year’s fireworks will exceed 40 minutes, sure to delight festival-goers.
In addition, a drone show with 2,022 drones was held last year. This time, however, 3,000 drones will be in attendance to attract the public.

In addition, there will be several performances, music and dance performances by artists, including from participating countries. Other attractions include the Emirates Fountain and Laser Show, Folk Village, Roaming Parade, several theaters showcasing cultural and entertainment events, as well as Fun City, Horror House, Art Zone, Children’s City, Crazy Cars, and Kart Races, Selfie Street, Dessert Museum Waiting for new items.
Around 60 food stalls offer a variety of options for you to celebrate with family and friends.
The festival will be open Saturday, December 31st from 4pm-2am.
Tickets cost only Dh5. Free for children under 3 years old, senior citizens over 60 years old, ID holders and one accompanying person.
